• Protected the values and vision of the Mary Lake Plan through a Huntsville Official Plan amendment.
• Promoted awareness of the Mary Lake Plan benefits and policies by distributing 3000 informative plan copies 
• Protected shoreline and docks by working with the MNR to get a new acceptable water management plan.
• Started a “Watch Your Wake” campaign to help minimize shoreline erosion and habitat impact.
• Monitored the Hwy 11 Interchange Plans and provided improvement recommendations
• With Huntsville Heritage Committee installed historical plaques to promote understanding of the of the falls park
• Provided G8 information to prepare members for June 2010  
• Worked with the District of Muskoka to up date Land Use Map to assist in planning
• Provided information on water and septic inspections to assist landowners
• Together with Huntsville put in channel buoys at the north end of the Lake to improve safety
• Paid for a major lake study on the adverse effects of high water levels
• Made the District aware of MLA concerns about the ‘water and sewer issue’ and requested action
• Link with other organizations to keep our members up-to-date on lake and cottage issues.
• Work with the District of Muskoka on Lake Quality Monitoring and Improvement
• Send out regular newsletters to keep our members up-to-date
